I am very excited to be teaching at Chamblee Middle School. I am originally from Ohio but grew up overseas as my father worked for the U.S. Information Agency. Fortunately, that gave my family the opportunity to live in and travel to many different parts of the world. This is what has given me such joy in being able to teach Social Studies. I received my B.A. in political science from Case Western Reserve University and then went on to receive my law degree from that same university. After practicing law, I came to realize that teaching was what I really wanted to do and earned my teaching certificate from Mercer University. As we progress during this academic year, I hope that I will be able to generate the same excitement in my 7th graders about the many wonders of our planet that I feel.
